I have to watch this movie every couple of years. It doesn’t get quirkier than Montenegro. A Swedish film from 1981 that’s entirely in English. It takes place in Stockholm, has a Yugoslavian gypsy niteclub, a swedish man with an American wife who is going somewhat crazy and a zookeeper named Montenegro. The film also has a title theme sung by Marianne Faithful and music by Abba. Hilarious, erotic and more than a bit dark. Well worth your time if you’re looking for something you have never seen before.

if you get a chance, investigate a movie called ‘the room.’ it is quite possibly the worst movie ever made. the worst, im not just saying that…it really is hilariously terrible.

Is this the one where the guy who directed it also wrote it, starred in it and produced? Plays in midnight showings? I just read some info one IFC.com where everyone agrees how awful the film is but they love it.

its is that same film and it is so awful that it becomes one of the best times you can have watching a movie

I’ll have to look for it. Sounds like an “Ed Wood” flick.
