Goodbye

Just a few hours ago, our dog Jules passed away. He was fifteen years old and his joints were giving out and today he decided it was time. He was the best and Chris has known Jules most of his life. The two puppies. I’m a wreck right now, as is the rest of the family. But they were there… and I wasn’t.

And that hurts

    I can’t seem to stop crying, myself….

I’m sorry to hear about Jules. He was a great dog. I wish I had a vedio of him chasing Shorty up the tree. He is at the Rainbow Bridge now waiting for you.

Carl, He is, unlike his loving family at this moment, now pain free and happy. He is probably and chasing and chatching squirrels and motorcycles. Giving you an overseas hug.

We are so sorry to hear about Jules. He was one of life’s great personalities who is no doubt receiving the endless scratches around the ears, neck and belly that he had always sought but never got from those humans who surrounded him.

naturally, Ray would have added the “just kidding” smileys had he known what they are :)

Jules was one of the most delightful, elegant people on the planet. AND shameless when it came to soliciting skritches….

It’s the little things… I’m going to miss walking him in the snow and trying to lure him with treats to get him back in the house. The entire dog treat industry just took a major hit.

Sorry to hear about Jules — our thoughts are with you, Kerry and Chris. They really do become part of the family when they are around for so long.

My thoughts are with you, Kerry and Chris today. I know how much Jules meant to you, and what a good dog and motorcycle chaser he was. He will be missed…

Yeah – who’s going to protect us from motorcycles and squirrels now?

Somehow it would seem inappropriate to answer the last question with some political nutball’s name.

Peace to Jules and to all of you.

what makes it worse is when you cant really picture what life is going to be like without them. You just expect them to be in certain spots at certain parts of the day and then out of no where they are gone. Im very sad for the family.

    Thank you all.

It will indeed be strange going forward without a 100 pound carnivore under foot…

Sorry to hear about Jules. I wonder if you dream about him and whether that is a consolation now?

Thanks Jewaira. Oddly, I dreamed more about Jules in the days before it happened. He just kept showing up. Usually when I dream, I don’t recognise anyone. I “feel” like I know them or “feel” like they are a particular person. So when somebody I’m actually close to shows up – it makes me nervous. Jules was on my mind… and I knew why.
